  15.      The _n_e_w_s_e_s_s command starts a new array session.  The user remains logged
  16.      in and the current directory is unchanged.  If the change is successful,
  17.      the user will be given a new shell.  The original shell, and any
  18.      processes it may have had running, will remain alive and associated with
  19.      the original array session.  Thus, exiting the new shell will return the
  20.      user to the original shell and original array session.

  22.      By default, the new array session will be a global array session (see
  23.      _a_r_r_a_y__s_e_s_s_i_o_n_s(5) for more information on this subject).  Some systems
  24.      are capable of generating their own global array session handles
  25.      internally, while others must request a global handle from an array
  26.      services daemon.  If the _----_llll option is specified, the system will _n_o_t try
  27.      to contact an array services daemon; this will result in a purely local
  28.      array session handle on systems that do not internally generate global
  29.      handles.  On the other hand, the _----_gggg option will _f_o_r_c_e the system to
  30.      obtain a global array session handle from an array services daemon, even
  31.      if the system could have generated a global handle internally.  In this
  32.      case, _n_e_w_s_e_s_s will fail if an array services daemon is not available.
  33.      The _----_gggg and _----_llll options are mutually exclusive.

  35.      The _----_pppp option can be used to set the new array session's project to
  36.      _p_r_o_j_e_c_t.  By default, the new array session will belong to the same
  37.      project as the current array session.  If the user is not the superuser,
  38.      then the user must be authorized for _p_r_o_j_e_c_t in the ////eeeettttcccc////pppprrrroooojjjjeeeecccctttt file.

  40.      The superuser may force a specific array session handle to be used by
  41.      specifying the _----_hhhh _A_S_H option.  An error will occur if _A_S_H is already in
  42.      use by another array session.  The _----_gggg and _----_hhhh options are mutually
  43.      exclusive.

  45.      The first unrecognized command line argument, and all remaining arguments
  46.      that follow it, will be passed to the new shell as arguments.  The
  47.      _n_e_w_s_e_s_s option _----_ssss can be used to force the rest of the command line to be
  48.      treated as shell arguments.  This is useful if it is necessary to pass an
  49.      option to the shell that also happens to be a valid _n_e_w_s_e_s_s option.  When
  50.      using shells like _s_h(1), an argument of the form _----_cccc _s_t_r_i_n_g executes
  51.      _s_t_r_i_n_g via the shell and an _a_r_g_u_m_e_n_t of _----_rrrr will give the user a
  52.      restricted shell.
